TEMPLE BRIEF DESCRIPTION 



 This temple is build and maintained by NAADAR community. The age of
the temple is unknown(approximately two generation). The temple had own land.
Now a days that land was under the kovil poosari. The temple has mainly two
poosari.


PHYSICAL FEATURES OF TEMPLE 

   The temple is having the separate temple for the Vinayaga, Kannimar,
Mayavar,Matheswaran,Periyakandiyamman,Muneeswaran,Karuppanar,Sambhugn
lords.
 In this temple moolavar is Sri ponnar sankar . His wifes are they called
Mutthayi,Pavalayi. His sister is called Thangayi . His parents are they Thaamarai
alagunachi – Kunnudaiyar . Here the wifes and sister,parents also god.
 Here installed the CCTV cameras. It will monitored 24×7. Then assembling
very attractive lighting system and sound system.
 Here Pongal Mandapam are there for making pongal. In this temple is
highlight is Rusty tree ( Vanni ).

Here the devotee only sacrifice the cock and male goat to the karuppanaar. 

 The temple also linked with the minnampalli Sri Ponkaliyamman temple 

by the NAADAR community . 

 Separately having an Parking area with separate toilet facility .

 Sri Annamar and Sri Ponkaliyamman are theykuladeiva for the NAADAR 

community . 

ARCHITECTURE 

 The temple having an the very interesting drawing on ceiling and different 

kind of silaikal in the gopuram . 

DAILY SEVAS TIMING 

 Normally open at 09.00am to 04.00pm on every day. During the special days 

depend upon devotees.

FESTIVALS 

 Here celebrate the festivals two years once on Tamil month aavani for the 

devotee convenient. The duration period is approximately 9 days. During the 

festival time lot of program are conducted by the temple ( for example: 

Theerthakudam , Karagam, Ammi alaithal , Padukalam , then Entertainment 

program ) . 

 On every year once again the karagam and some of the silaikal are they 

cleand and to take special theertham in karagam at the Alamalai(Sitthar malai) or 

near by river on aadi perukku (aadi 18). The ala malai is placed on the north side of 

the temple . 

 Here the ondi muniyappan temple is place on nagarpalaiyam,vaiyappamali. 

That is near by the annamar temple.that temple also conduct the festival is two 

years once. The two temples are conduct the festivals one by one at aavani month.
